What Makes My Approach Different
Extensive Knowledge that Builds Credibility
An approach built on the science behind exercise, with over a dozen fitness certifications.
Knowledgeable and personally relatable on the effects of aging, which appeals to clientele 40-60 years old.
A background in accounting and financial managing brings an emphasis to knowing the facts, and making sure I’m prepared to address many client needs.
Acquired 12 different certifications to build a well-rounded approach to provide clients.
Completed basic 200 hour yoga training and am in the process of an additional 300 hour certification to expand my knowledge on proper form-building and body awareness, to dial into how our body responds to fitness.
Shared Learning that Encourages Openness
Class environments are built on the idea that anything new I learn is always shared.
I am always expanding my knowledge about the science and techniques behind fitness, which I actively teach to my clients.
Part of how I value myself is how much of my knowledge I can pass onto my clients.
I encourage people to explore what can help them more effectively in their journey, just as I do for my teaching.
Making sure my clients know and fully understand the effect that different exercises have on their body, and how that pertains to their personal fitness goals.
What I Hope People Take Away
Never stop what you’re building toward. Maybe you’re just starting to get your body in shape for the first time in your life, or maybe you’re getting back into it after years of letting it go. I want to inform you about what it will look like if you don’t keep up this positive work. The loss of mobility and personal freedom I see happen to people in their 70’s is what makes me motivated to see you do something about it now. I provide you with the science, like the fact that you are losing 5-8% of your muscle mass every decade. If you’re 50, you’ve likely already lost 15-25%— but the good news? It’s reversible through targeted strength training. Demonstrating how I’ve stayed youthful into my 50’s is what I hope will inspire people my age to take the steps to age well.
Commit now to how you want to treat your body through life’s challenges. For my younger clients, I hope to leave you with a decision about what you want your 10, 20, 30 year-from-now self to look like. A 45 year old fitness instructor I had in my twenties was able to kick my 'you know what’... which showed me what I wanted to be able to do at her age. When you’re young, you’re not worried about losing your youthfulness. But with many life stages ahead, it’s important to also get ahead, so that you have the physical and mental strength to feel prepared for everything life throws at you.
“Lynn is quite the find! She is fun, yet serious and even in a Zoom class she will watch and correct your form. Her CardioOm classes are very challenging and encouraging, fast-paced, and keep me coming back for more. Thanks for getting me into better shape, showing leadership and connecting me to others during this time of social isolation. You are 5 stars all the way!”
